The Shore goes 2-1 in bracket play, finishes 6th at Stormin' Ladyjack Classic

HOUSTON, Texas -

The University of Maryland Eastern Rebounded nicely on Sunday (Feb. 18) at the Stormin’ Ladyjack Classic to finish the event with a 7-6 record and in sixth place.

The Hawks (59-34, 12-4 MEAC) picked up wins against Wisconsin Whitewater and Tulane before falling to Vanderbilt in their last match of the day at Copperfield Bowl in Houston, Texas.

The squad began bracket play as the No. 7 seed and topped the No. 8 seeded Warhawks 4-2 despite falling behind 2-0 to start. Followed that up with a 4-2 win against the Green Wave before falling to Vandy 4-3 after first getting up 3-2.

Eastern Shore will return to action in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference No. 3 meet hosted by Howard Feb. 24-25.
