Wesley begins three-game home slate for Hawks
Dec. 15, 2017

PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland -

After seven straight games on the road, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore got a much-needed full week away from competition for exams, but will now return to action Saturday (Dec. 16) when they host Division III Wesley College at 2 p.m.

Graduate transfer Martha Thompson (Bedford Heights, Ohio) is coming off a 23-point performance at Wake Forest and has taken over the team lead in scoring at 10.3 points per game. She is averaging 15.2 points per game in the last five games after scoring just six points in the first three games of the season.

Freshman Bairesha Gill-Miles (Lexington, Kentucky) has started the last two games in the absence of Jordyn Smith (Durham, North Carolina) and while Smith will return to the court Saturday for the first time since the George Mason game, Gill-Miles will remain in the starting lineup.

Gill-Miles has scored in double digits in five straight games and has one of the team's two double-doubles this season.

After hosting the Wolverines, the Hawks will then welcome Mount St. Mary's comes to town for a 6 p.m. matchup on Dec 19 and Eastern Shore hosts UMBC on Dec. 21 at 2 p.m.
