Malcolm Johnson (Silver Spring, Md.) got a strong win over Christopher Mack in the six spot 6-3, 6-3. In doubles play, Johnson and Thomas defeated Brown and Mack 8-2 to win, but UMES fell in the other two doubles matches and could not get the point.

Later that Saturday, UMES took on Norfolk State, falling 7-0 in the contest without winning a match.
