MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The University of Maryland Eastern Shore golf team concluded play in the Myrtle Beach Invitational on Tuesday morning as the Hawks finished seventh overall at the par-72, Myrtle Beach National West Course. UMES was led by senior Michael Veverka (Brunswick, Md.), who concluded play with a six-over-par score of 150 to finish tied for 31st. His final tally benefitted from a score of 69 on day one, which was the lowest mark ever tallied by a UMES golfer in the program’s three-year history.

Blanco finished at +14 between the two rounds to claim 41st place. Veverka’s final average in the tournament was a three-over-par 75 and Blanco’s was a six-over 78.
