Hawks broadcasts back on Fox Sports 960
Nov. 10, 2017

PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland -

SFMSports.Net, the official broadcast network for University of Maryland Eastern Shore Athletics has announced a renewed broadcast partnership with Fox Sports 960 in Salisbury.

For the third consecutive year, Maryland Eastern Shore Mens Basketball will be heard on Fox Sports 960, WTGM.

Were excited to return to Fox Sports, explained Steve Clendenin, President & CEO of SFMSports.Net. Fox Sports is the markets only home for sports, so it just makes sense to align the Hawks brand with an established station such as Fox Sports 960.

This season, FOX Sports 960 will broadcast 32 regular season Hawks Mens Basketball games, starting with the regular season opener on Nov. 10 against Valley Forge. The station will also air the MEAC Tournament in March and 13 Hawk Talk weekly coach shows, live from M Street Grille in Princess Anne, will air each Thursday at 6 p.m. from the Shore Sports Network.

In addition to offering play by play coverage, fans and alumni can hear the daily Shore Sports Updates across the Delmarva Peninsula. 96.5 WCTG and 101.5/87.7 WOWZ will air a sixty-second recap of Hawks athletics news, giving the University further reach in the market! These features can also be found online at www.sfmsports.net where the Eastern Shore womens basketball games will be broadcast live.

Will DeBoer, also the play-by-play voice of the Delmarva Shorebirds, will return as the play-by-play announcer for his second season. He will be joined by retired basketball coach David Byrd who won a state championship at Pocomoke High School — as color commentator.

SFMSports.Net, owned by Sound Foundations Media, LLC, has been the broadcast home of University of Maryland Eastern Shore since 2010.
