Ishaq Pitt (pictured) was the only MEAC men's basketball player on the 2013-14 NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches released its 2013-14 Honors Court and University of Maryland Eastern Shore junior forward Ishaq Pitt (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was selected to this year's team. A total of nearly 900 student-athletes from 335 colleges and universities across the United States were presented with the award, the most in the history of the NABC Honors Court.

This is the second consecutive NABC Honors Court that Pitt has been selected to. It is also the third award he has received off the court after he was named the 2014 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar of the Year and was a 2014 NABC Good Works Team honoree. He was one of two players to play in all 30 games this past season for the Hawks after he averaged 5.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg and had 25 steals.

In order to attain the award, recipients must have atleast a 3.2 GPA and stand as a junior or senior academically.  Pitt was the only Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball represented on the list.
