Dominique Elliott (Savannah, Georgia) garnered a pair of postseason All-American honors following a stellar senior campaign for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. This week he was named to the College Court Report Mid Major All-American list.

"It is an honor to be one of those 30 guys on the list," Elliott said. "There is a lot of high-level talent represented and I am proud to be on a list with guys like Nick Faust (Long Beach State). It's also an honor to be the only MEAC representative on the list."

That honor comes on the heels of a second-team Division I All-American honor from BOXTOROW Sports.

Elliott, a 6-foot-8, 265-pound forward/center averaged 14.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and shot 54 percent from the field this season - good for third on the all-time single season list for the Hawks. He led or tied for the team lead in rebounds in 24 of 32 games this season.

"I want to thank my team for putting me in a position to earn these honors," Elliott said. "And I want to thank my coaching staff that did a phenomenal job. Despite the tough season I enjoyed my final time as a Hawk.

The co-captain was an All Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference first-team selection and was also voted to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 15 first team.

Former Hawk Mike Myers was honored by College Court Report with a Mid Major All-America award after the 2014-15 season.

College Court Report is a Canadian-based NCAA college basketball website.

BOXTOROW Sports is the website for the Box To Row "From the Press Box to Press Row" radio show covering athletics at historically black colleges and universities as well as professional sports. The show is hosted by Donal Ware.

Thirteen schools are represented on the 2016 BOXTOROW Division I men's college basketball All-America teams. BOXTOROW has administered the All-America team since 2009.
