PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball senior Devon Walker was among the 15 players named by Breitbart Sports to its All-MEAC teams. Walker was the only Hawk selected by the website, placed on the Third Team All-MEAC.

Walker, a native of Philadelphia, Pa., has been an important cog in the Hawks' offense this season, providing deadly three-point shooting. The senior guard is averaging 9.7 points per game, third on the team, primarily on the strength of his long-range accuracy. Walker is shooting 40.4% from beyond the arc, fourth-best in the conference. In terms of total three-pointers made, Walker ranks third in the league at 65 triples, tied with Morgan State's Blake Bozeman. Walker's best performance of the season came against in-state rival Coppin State. On January 31, the sharpshooter went off for 27 points and nine rebounds, both career-highs. Against the Eagles, Walker caught fire from deep, nailing six of his nine three-point attempts.

North Carolina Central led Breitbart Sports' selections with five players among the three all-conference teams. Norfolk State had three players named, while Delaware State and Howard each had a pair honored. Mike Myers and Devin Martin, two deserving Hawks, were left off the teams despite being the top scorers on UMES. Myers, in particular, has garnered considerable attention with several nominations for National Mid-Major Player of the Year by both and The Hawks as a whole have surpassed expectations wildly this year, currently sitting in third place with the most wins for the program in 21 years.
