DURHAM, N.C. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team concludes their three-game road trip with a contest against non-conference foe, North Carolina Central, at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the McDougald-McLendon Gym.

The Hawks are coming off of a 62-52 win at North Carolina A&T on Monday evening. Sophomore Tyler Hines (Sicklerville, N.J.) registered his second double-double of the season with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Redshirt sophomore Hillary Haley (Oxon Hill, Md.) while redshirt junior Tim Burns (Franklinville, N.J.) recorded 13 points, four assists and four steals. With the win, UMES moved to 7-16 on the season, 5-5 in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play and 3-10 on the road.

The Eagles broke a five-game losing streak in a 65-50 victory over Savannah State on Saturday. Dwayne Sims finished the game with a career-high 15 points while C.J. Wilkerson added in 13. Nick Chasten tallied seven rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots and two steals in the game. With the win over Savannah State, NCCU head coach LeVelle Moton recorded his first win against a Division I opponent. The Eagles are 5-20 on the season and 5-3 at home.

Wednesday's meeting between the two teams will be the 30th all-time. The Hawks lead the series 16-13 and defeated NCCU last season in Durham, 73-58, on January 21, 2009.
