ANN ARBOR, Michigan -

The Hawks entered Saturdays game against Michigan (9-3) at the Crisler Center hoping to cool a red hot-shooting team. Instead the Wolverines continued to make buckets of buckets shooting 65 percent from the field and 57 percent from behind the 3-point arc in a 98-49 victory.

The Wolverines had made a team-record 19 3-pointers at home against Central Arkansas earlier this week and shot better than 50 percent in a loss at No. 2 UCLA a week ago, so it was imperative to get out on their shooters.

But six different Wolverines made from long range led by Derrick Walston Jr., who was 5-of-7 and finished with a game-high 21 points. Three other Wolverines reached double digits.

Senior Bakari Copeland (Decatur, Georgia) led the Hawks (1-10) with 15 points, Ryan Andino (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) added 11 and Tyler Jones (Atlantic City, New Jersey) scored nine off the bench.

The Shore was outrebounded 35-26, lost the turnover battle 15-9 and shot just 33 percent from the field (32 percent from 3) and was outscored 40-18 in the paint while scoring its lowest point total of the season.

The Hawks will next travel to American for a noon game on Monday (Dec. 19).

Games can be heard locally on Fox Sports Radio 960 AM WTGM or on www.EasternShoreHawks.com. Will DeBoer will have the call Monday afternoon from Washington, D.C. on The Shore Sports Network.
