Final Stats

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore took 55 minutes to pick up its 10th victory of the season, but it did come eventually on Monday night with the help of career games from three different players.

After three overtimes and -- two hours and 54 minutes of real time -- the Hawks escaped the William P. Hytche Athletic Center with a 106-95 win against North Carolina A&T.

Senior Bakari Copeland score 13 of his career-high 29 points in overtime and added 10 rebounds and three assists in the game. He was 17-of-21 from the free throw line and 6-of-13 from the field in a career-high 48 minutes.

"We were resilient tonight," Eastern Shore head coach Bobby Collins said. "We made some plays, some guys stepped up and we made some free throws.

The Hawks (10-18, 7-6 MEAC) made 43-of-53 (81 percent) from the free throw line.

Isaac Taylor (Wachapreague, Virginia) scored a career-high 17 points -- including 9-of-11 from the free throw line. Seven of those points came in the overtimes despite earning his fourth foul with 1:55 left in the first extra period.

"We got the ball in the inside and that was the key," Collins said.

The Shore scored 30 points in the paint, 19 points off turnovers and got 36 points from the bench including 13 from senior Thomas Rivera (Harlem, New York).

Junior point guard Logan McIntosh (Atlanta, Georgia) tied his career high with 16 points (nine in OT), tied a career high with nine rebounds (six in OT) and dished out four assists in a career-high 48 minutes.

The Aggies (2-26, 0-13 MEAC) lost their 13th straight conference game and haven't beaten a Division I opponent all season.

"I just told their coach that their record doesn't indicate how good they are," Collins said. "That team is scrappy. That team was starving. That team wanted to win. They knew we were wounded, so they came in and did what they had to do."

Five different North Carolina A&T players fouled out.

Eliel Gonzalez led the Aggies with 23 points and Sam Hunt added nineteen points and played all 55 minutes in the game.

The Hawks will next travel to Delaware State for a 4 p.m. matchup on Saturday.

Games can be heard locally on Fox Sports Radio 960 AM WTGM or on www.EasternShoreHawks.com. Will DeBoer will have the call Saturday from Dover, Delaware on The Shore Sports Network.
