Senior Bakari Copeland (Decatur, Georgia) poured in 21 points -- including 14 in the second half -- and grabbed four rebounds as the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (0-1) dropped a close season opener at George Washington 75-71.

Southeastern Illinois College: Started 13 of 23 games as a sophomore... Scored a career-high 28 points on 10-of-15 shooting against Olney Central as a freshman... Averaged 8.5 points, 1.0 assist and 2.1 rebounds as as sophomore... As a freshman started five of 10 games he played averaged 13.5 points. 2.8 assists and 3.2 rebounds... 

High School/Club: Scored a career-high 39 points... As a senior averaged 15.8 points and 3.0 assists... As a junior averaged 11.8 points and 4.3 rebounds...

Personal: Son of LaRonda and Randall Pickett... Has two brothers... His pregame routine is to pray...
