Logan McIntosh's layup with 11.6 seconds left lifted the No. 5 Hawks to a 68-66 win over the No. 4 Pirates. Eastern Shore moves on to its first MEAC semifinal in 23 years against top-seeded North Carolina Central on Friday night at 6:00.
Down 10 with two minutes before halftime, the Hawks close strong and beat the Aggies for the third time this season, 74-67. Eastern Shore now moves onto the MEAC quarterfinals against Hampton on Thursday.
In their final Hytche Center game of the season, the Hawks stage a last-minute comeback to upend the Bears 67-66.
In a marathon Monday night, Hawks shoot 43-53 (.811) from the free throw line and outlast the Aggies 106-95 in triple overtime.
The Hawks score 48 points in the second half to bludgeon the Bulldogs 92-69 and win their third straight.
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore battled back from as many as 13 points down, took its first lead of the second half with just over 9 minutes to go and held the lead (75-74) as late as the 5:15 mark of the second half on Monday against Savannah State. But it was the Tigers (10-12, 7-2 MEAC) who came out on top 87-82.
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore fell behind early in its Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference home opener against Howard, holding the lead just once in the first half, 6-4, and trailed by 11 at the break. The Shore fought back in the second half, but fell 74-66.
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore got an all-around standout performance from Senior Bakari Copeland (Decatur, Georgia) and what head coach Bobby Collins called "a total game" from his squad on Saturday in a 92-69 win against visiting South Carolina State.
The Hawks used a late comeback to take down the host Wildcats.
The Shore topped Central Penn in the team's final home game of December.
