NORFOLK, Va. - After an impressive showing in the MEAC Tournament, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference has announced that Karim Gonzalez, Byron Campbell and Stephen Bull have earned a place on the MEAC All-Tournament Team.

UMES tied Delaware State for the most members of the MEAC All-Tournament Team with three each. MEAC Champion Bethune-Cookman and North Carolina Central had two members, while North Carolina A&T had one.

Gonzalez (Mexico City, Mexico) had the best start of his career against Bethune-Cookman, throwing a complete game against the Wildcats. In eight innings pitched, the senior struck out a career high 11 batters, allowing just three runs, only one of them earned. Gonzalez had the most strikeouts in a single outing in the 2012 MEAC Tournament.

Campbell (Waldorf, Md.) hit safely in all four UMES games of the tournament, hitting .474 (9-for-19) with a combined three doubles, two runs and five RBI. The sophomore right fielder went 3-for-5 in each game against Delaware State, also throwing out a runner at home in the 7-6 victory over the Hornets on Friday.

Bull (Millsboro, Del.) hit .333 (6-for-18) for UMES this week, including a .400 on-base percentage with two walks. In the two UMES victories, Bull combined to hit .556 (5-for-9) with three runs and four RBI, including a ninth inning RBI triple for the eventual game-winning score in the victory over Delaware State.

The rest of the All-Tournament Team includes Scott Davis, Tony Gatto and Ryan Haas of Delaware State, Rayan Gonzalez and David Lee of Bethune-Cookman, Troy Marrow and Tyler Murphy of North Carolina Central and Luke Tendler of North Carolina A&T. Lee was named the Most Outstanding Performer of the Tournament, while Jason Beverlin of Bethune-Cookman, earned Most Outstanding Coach.
