Eleven Hawk Baseball Players named to All-Academic Team
Senior J.P. Black among the Hawks selected to the MEAC Baseball All-Academic Team

NORFOLK, Virginia -- The Maryland Eastern Shore baseball team had eleven honorees named to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Baseball All-Academic Team, as announced by the conference today.

Student-athletes that are sophomores, juniors and seniors and have been in residence for over a year are eligible to be honored. Those who earn a 3.0 cumulative GPA make the list.

"On behalf of the conference, I would like to offer my congratulations to all of our baseball student-athletes who have maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average during the academic school year," said Commissioner Dr. Dennis E. Thomas. "I would also like to acknowledge the efforts of the institutional and athletic academic support staffs, the coaches and of course the parents who all played a vital role in the success of the student-athletes."

The eleven Hawks honored are seniors J.P. Black (Elkton, Maryland), Connor Breslin (Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania), James DiBuo (Bishopville, Maryland), Mike Escanilla (Waldorf, Maryland), and Will Turley (Greensboro, Maryland); juniors Dallas Culotta (Princess Anne, Maryland) and Jordan Martin (Atlanta, Georgia); and sophomores Isaiah Chambers (Bowie, Maryland), Toby Hoskins (North East, Maryland), Chris Melrath (North East, Maryland) and Jamison Trower (Chesterfield, Virginia). 



In total 91 student-athletes over the conferences' nine schools were honored.

Maryland Eastern Shore will host the 2016 MEAC Baseball Championships at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in Salisbury, Maryland from May 19-22. Six teams will vie for the title and an NCAA regionals trip.
