PRINCESS ANNE, Md.—Freshmen Rachel Halmon (Waldorf, Md.) and Khalil Rmidi (Malaga, Spain) have been named the Peninsula Regional Medical Center University of Maryland Eastern Shore Athletes of the Week for the week of October 29th. This is the fifth time Rmidi has earned the honor, while Halmon is receiving the honor for the third time.

Both athletes earned the honor after the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Cross Country Championships on Saturday on the UMES campus. In addition to her strong finish on Saturday, Halmon has earned four top ten finishes over six races this season, including a sixth place finish at the Farm Run Invitational in October.
