Women's Track Meet at Navy

The Lady Hawks compete at the Wesley Brown Invitational on January 30th.

2017 Indoor Track: Was the Hawks’ most eminent long jumper during the season … qualified for the IC4A/ECAC Championships with a winning distance of 5.72 meters at the Eastern Shore Lid-Lifter … achieved a second victory at the Villanova Open … ranked 35th in the ECAC for the long jump … also competed in the 200 meter dash.  

2017 Outdoor Track: Took part in all three jumping events … scored 17 points at MEAC’s with a second place finish in the triple, third place in the high, and sixth place in the long jump … mark of 12.48 meters at the Virginia Grand Prix in the triple ranks 15th in the ECAC, 57th in the NCAA East and 88th nationally … triple jump mark also serves as a personal record … top distance of 5.68 in the long jump helped her win the event at the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic … also won the triple jump at the Christopher Newport Captains’ Classic.

2016 Indoor Season: Competed in a variety of events but was mainly a jumper ... set a PR of 1.67 meters during the MEAC Championships in the high jump ... had two victories in the long jump, topping out at 5.49 meters during the UMES Lid-Lifter in December ... also captured the victory at the Wesley Brown Invite ... had a season best jump of 12.05 meters in the triple jump, where she placed fifth at MEAC's ... also earned a pair of runner up spots in the triple. 

2016 Outdoor Season:
Set new personal bests in the long and triple jumps ... both of those jumps were achieved during MEAC's ... placed third in the long jump at 5.72 meters and second in the triple at 12.43 meters ... took two runner up spots with her performances in the high jump ... finished in third three separate times in the long and triple ... filled in nicely at Navy Spring's 4x100 relay where she helped the Hawks to take first place. 

2015 Indoor Season:
Jumper for the Hawks ... debuted at Navy with a 9th place, 1.55 meter high jump and a 4.85 meter long jump ... won at the Navy Invite with a jump of 1.65 meter, highest of the season ... took 9th in the high jump at the MEAC Champs at 1.62 meters ... took 8th at the Navy Invite with a 5.06 meter long jump ... won the triple jump with a leap of 11.54 meters at the Coach O.

2015 Outdoor Season: Hit a season high of 5.35 meters in the long jump at the Morgan Legacy ... earned a top ten at the Morgan Legacy in the triple jump at 11.35 meters and an eighth place in the same meet in the high jump (1.58 meters) ... competed in the heptathlon at the MEAC Championships, finishing 8th with 3,643 points. 

High School:
Raced in XC and Track and Field at Northeast High...Was the 2011 Philadelphia Public Champ in the High Jump and the AAA District High Jump champ...2012, 2013, and 2014 Public and District Champ in the High Jump as well..finished 7th at Indoor States in the High Jump in 2013 and 8th in 2014...was the 2014 Public Champ in the Triple Jump and the District Champ in Triple Jump and 100m Hurdles...finished 4th at the 2014 at NB Nationals...finished with a 3.7 GPA.

Personal: Born November 9, 1995...daughter of Sheila Anderson and Todd Edwards...has a brother and a sister...fashion merchandising major at UMES...keeps to herself and listens of music as a pregame routine...best personal sports moment was the 2010 Colgate Womens Games where she won in the High Jump finals...lists her mother and coaches as biggest influences...hopes to have a good career and make a lot of money upon graduation...favorite saying is "It hurts to win"...favorite movie is Love & Basketball...hope to have personal best in each of her events.
