The Hawks hosted five other schools in their annual Lid-Lifter on December 3, 2016.

Women's Track Meet at Navy

The Lady Hawks compete at the Wesley Brown Invitational on January 30th.

2017 Indoor Track: The Hawks’ exclusive triple jumper during the season, along with occasional participations in the long jump … finished with a season best distance of 12.38 meters, placing fourth in the IC4A/ECAC Championships … that mark ranks 12th among ECAC competitors … was runner up at the MEAC Championship in the triple … set a personal record in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.18 seconds … won the triple jump event with a distance of 12.31 meters at the Terrapin Invitational.  

2017 Outdoor Track: Finished out her senior year in style with a trip to the NCAA Preliminaries for the triple jump … set the school record in the triple jump with a distance of 12.72 meters at the Virginia Grand Prix … ranked nationally in the triple … also set a PR in the long jump, finishing third at the MEAC Championships with a distance of 5.78 meters … scored 14 points during MEAC’s with six in the long jump, five in the triple jump and three more in the high jump … 10 of her 13 finishes were in the top five.  

2016 Indoor Season: Won the women's field MVP honors for the Hawks during both the indoor and outdoor seasons ... specialized in the triple jump and never finished worse than third in any event ... best distance was 12.12 meters at MEAC's ... secured triple jump victories at the UMES Lid-Lifter and the Scarlet & White in Boston ... also participated in the 60 meter dash, high jump and long jump during the season. 

2016 Outdoor Season:
Earned the right to participate in the IC4A/ECAC Championship as a triple jumper, where she placed third at 12.22 meters ... topped out at 12.26 during the season, finishing second at Wake Forest ... finished fifth at MEAC's with a distance of 12.17 meters ... recorded wins at the Hampton Relays in the triple and in the long jump at Navy. 

2013 Cross Country Season:
Ran in three races this season...personal best time was 26:19.06 at the Hornet Invitational

Personal: born on November 11, 1995...daughter of Christene Durant & Marlon Lucius...has a sister Sabrina and a brother Saddique...Rehabilition Psychology major at UMES...ran track and field in high school where she was MVP for Indoor & Outdoor Season in her senior year, an All City-State-County Champion and valedictorian...pre-game routine is listening to personal sports moment is being enshrined in the Newark (NJ) Athletic Hall of Fame...lists her high school coaches who taught her that the sky is not the limit, and pushed her beyond her expectations and that the only personwho stands in your way is yourself...wants to start a counseling business upon graduation...favorite saying is "Pain is temporary, it may last for a minute, hour or even a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place, but if I quit, however, it will last forever"...hobbies outside of sports include reading novels and free writing...favorite book is My Sister's Keeper by Ronald Verlin and favorite move is A Walk to Remember...personal athletic goals at UMES are qualifying for the ECAC Championships, and break some records...believes Family, School and Track are all that matter the most and come first, anything else after.
