UMES competes in Day Two of MEAC ITF Champs

UMES men hold 2nd place & the women rose to 4th during Day 2 of the MEAC Championships. (photos by Megan Raymond).

2016 Cross Country: Competed in three events for the Hawks during the fall … best time and placement was a 30:22.2, 21st place finish at the DSU Farm Run … ran a time of 31:37.32  at the MEAC Championships.

2017 Indoor Track: One of the top Hawk competitors in the 400 meter dash … earned a personal record time of 50.81 seconds to come in third at the Navy Open … was also vital in the running of the 4x400 relay, making an appearance at the MEAC Championships.

2017 Outdoor Track: Mid-distance and relay runner during the season … qualified for the MEAC Championships in the 800 meter run, where he set a PR with a time of 1:53.70 … was part of the 4x400 relay team that earned a time of 3:17.03 to finish 2nd at the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic … also took part in a winning 4x400 team at the Christopher Newport Captains’ Classic.

2015 Cross Country: Competed in six of the seven meets in his freshman year ... debuted as a Hawk at the UMES Lid Lifter with a time of 20:20.09 ... fastest 5k time was a 20:02.1 at Delaware State ... earned a season high time of 29:32.6 at Princeton in an 8k event. 

2016 Indoor Season: Participated in mid-distance and relays during the winter ... ran a season high 51.52 seconds in the 400 at Villanova ... finished third (1:07.52) at the UMES Lid-Lifter in the 500 ... was part of a winning 4x400 relay team at the UMES Lid-Lifter and a runner up DMR team at Navy's Wesley Brown Invitational. 

2016 Outdoor Season: Mainly raced in the 800 meter run ... fastest time of the season was a 1:56.50 at the Hampton Relays in that event ... competed once in the 400 and earned a time of 52.91 seconds at Wake Forest ... took third in an 800 meter event at Navy ... was part of the 4x400 relay team that placed sixth at VertKlasse with a time of 3:23.73 and fourth at the Wake Forest Open. 

High School:
Played Cross Country and Track and Field at North Point H.S. ... was All-SMAC (2012-2014) ... first in region/states 4A and 6th in nation in 800 meter ... won conference three times indoor and outdoor track. 

Personal: Born October 25, 1997 in Washington D.C. ... son of LaShonda Rollins and Lionel Ball ... has a sister, Corinne and a twin brother Christopher ... computer science major at UMES ... involved with NCCF Child Summer Care, Children's Church Ministry, AAU and USATF, and Minds in Motion ... reads his Bible and listens to Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan as a pregame ritual ... best personal sports moments was setting a PR and winning states in the 800 while sick wit the flu ... lists my mother and stepfather as his biggest influences ... wants to attend grad school ... best advice recieved is "Live life as if you know you'll die tomorrow" ... hobbies include playing video games and going out with family and friends ... wants to make NCAAs and win a conference championship while at UMES.
