The Hawks competed in the Wesley A. Brown Invitational in Annapolis on January 30th.
2015 Cross Country: Was named the 2015-16 UMES Male Athlete of the Year after sweeping MVP honors for cross country, indoor track and outdoor track ... won four of the six races he competed in duirng the cross country season ... led the way at the MEAC Championships with a time of 25:00.50 to win the 8k race ... also won the UMES Lid-Lifter, Del State Invite and DSU Farm Run ... finished sixth at the Princeton Invitational 6k at a span of 24:09.2 ... finished the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional in 32:19.41 to come in 61st, the best time for a Hawk in that event.
2016 Indoor Season: A ten time winner of various events over the winter ... named the MEAC's Most Outstanding runner, largely by scoring 32.5 points at the conference championships ... came within a second of his own school record with a time of 4:13.78 in the mile at the UMES Lid-Lifter ... not only won that event but also won at the Crimson Elite and Villanova Open ... held the top two times in the 3000 among Hawks, including an 8:10.25 time at Navy's Wesley Brown Invitational ... took second in the 5000 at the Gret Dane Classic with a season high running of 14:39.20.
2016 Outdoor Season: Became the school's record holder in the 10k with a victorious time of 31:37.65 at the Navy Spring Invite ... also won the same event at the MEAC Championships en route to winning the conference's Most Outstanding Runner for the third straight season ... scored 40 points by winning four separate events ... best event was the 3000 meter steeplechase where he won the MEAC event, qualified and finished fourth at IC4A's and earning a place in the NCAA Regionals ... helped set a record in the DMR with a time of 10:07.81 to break a 33 year old record ... won three events in the 1500 meter, including a season best time of 3:52.10 to win at Wake Forest ... registered another win and top time of 14:41.16 at the VertKlasse Meeting.
2014 Cross Country: Won every single race he competed in this season ... led off with a 15:47.63 at the UMES Lid Lifter ... followed that with an 18:54.3 in the 4 miler Delaware State Invitational ... fastest 8k time was at the DSU Farm Run Invite with a 25:00.1 ... took Most Outstanding Men's Performer honors with a first place time of 25:53.6 at the MEAC Championships.
2015 Indoor Season: Is now the school record holder for four separate individual events ... ran a 2:30.26 at the Metro Team Challenge in the 1000 meter run to earn that record ... won the Coach O Invitational and toppled Mustapha Hubbani's mile record with a time of 4:13.04 ... broke his own mark in the 3000 with a 8:09.34 at the Terrier Invitational ... defeated Alfred Singoei's nine-year old 5000 record with a 14:15.89 at the IC4A/ECAC Championships ... won the mile, 3000, 5000 and helped on a distance medley victory for the Hawks at MEACs en route to being named Most Outsatnding Track Performer for that event.
2015 Outdoor Season: Broke two records in the outdoor campaign ... blazed past Mustapha Habbani twice with a 14:07.08 5000 meter time at the Virginia Challenge and a time of 8:48.06 in the 3000 meter steeplechase, earned at the NCAA Preliminaries ... won the steeplechase at both the MEAC Championships and the Penn Relays, while also finishing runner up in the IC4A/ECAC version of the race ... also won the 1500 and 5000 events to capture his third Most Outstanding MEAC Men's Runner honor of the year, setting MEAC Tournament records in the process ... qualified for IC4A in the 1500, coming in third with a time of 3:46.90 ... earned a pair of top ten finishes in the 800 meter run, including a 7th place, 1:54.33 at the VertKlasse Meeting.
2013 Cross Country Season: Ran in every meet this season...highlights include two second place finishes at the Farm Run Invitational and Delaware State Invitational...finished in the top ten of every race he competed in...finished sixth at the MEAC Championships with a season-best 5-mile time of 25:58.20
High School/Club: competed in track and cross country in high school...won silver medals twice and placed 3rd at World Junior Championships in 2012 ... member of C.A. Playas de Castellon, where he placed third at a European Club Championship.
