PRINCESS ANNE, MD. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore cheerleading program and head coach Lamar Waul will host the "Fly Girlz & Fly Guyz Summer Cheerleading Clinic" June 22 & 23 in the W.P. Hytche Athletic Center.

"This camp is a chance for our University to give back to the future young men and women of cheerleading and to help build skills and knowledge for HBCU Cheer," said Waul.

The clinic takes place June 22 and 23 in the Hytche Center and runs each day from noon-4 p.m. The cost is just $65 for the event and only $50 for current students or children of University of Maryland Eastern Shore faculty and staff. It is open to youth starting at age seven and all the way up through current college students.

Sessions include classes and workshops on jumps, pyramids, stunts, dismounts, tumbling, stomp & shake, and cheers. The camp will present awards at the end of day two for the ultimate tumbler, dancer, jumper and cheerleader. Each camper also receives a camp shirt and access to snacks during the sessions. They are asked to bring a water bottle and dress in cheer attire with sneakers or cheer shoes.

For questions please contact Coach Waul at 443-653-0290 or email him at lgwaul1@umes.edu. Registration is open online here. All participants are encouraged to register online and print out the waiver and bring it with them the first day of camp. Registrations will only be accepted through the online portal, so walk-ups will still have to complete the process on-site before their child can participate.
