G. Stan Bradley
Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs

  1. Stan Bradley came on board as Sports Information Director (SID) for the Hawks' athletic staff in July of 2001. Since then, he has been promoted twice, the most recent in November of 2015 to his current position of Associate Director of Athletics for External Affairs. Bradley has been constantly working to build the brand of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Department of Athletics, initially through developing the relationships with local and extended media and more recently with alumni, donors, area businesses and civic organizations.

In 2003, Bradley was promoted to Assistant Director of Athletics for Media Relations and Marketing. In that capacity, he maintained his duties as the SID but took on many other tasks, including: development, advertising, fundraising, facility operations and game day operations.

Bradley oversaw the design of all publications, promotional materials and has directed a website rebrand three times in the past 15 seasons.  He has overseen the hosting of numerous events by the department, including Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championships in cross country, baseball and volleyball and NCAA Regional cross country championships.

He serves as a liaison to many local organizations and businesses, including many alumni groups, civic organizations and tourism offices.

During his time at Maryland Eastern Shore, he has overseen the creation of a new athletic logo series, expanded the media relations and marketing staff, created broadcast agreements on local radio for men and women's basketball and baseball, started live video and audio streaming of many home events and reached sponsorship deals with area hotels, car dealers, bottling companies and restaurants.

In his new role Bradley is creating fundraising programs for each sport, redesigning an athletics Booster Club, creating new sponsorship packages and overseeing the ticket sales initiatives for the department, which has recently included volleyball.

However, he states that his greatest accomplishments are the staff he has hired and trained who have gone on to hold a variety of positions in various athletic organizations. These include The University of Massachusetts, University of Akron, University of Louisville, University of Albany, Howard University, the Buffalo Bisons AAA baseball club, the LPGA, the Southwest Athletic Conference (SWAC) and the American Conference.

Prior to his first position at Maryland Eastern Shore, Bradley worked at the University of Maryland College Park with Campus Recreation Services as the Coordinator of Student Personnel/Training. He has also served at Salisbury University as the Public Relations Associate from 1997-98. He holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Maryland and two master's degrees, one in Human Resource Management and the other in Business Administration, both from the University of Maryland University College.

He has worked previously in a part-time capacity with the Delmarva Shorebirds baseball club, an affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, as their official scorer. He also works with Wicomico County, Md. in a variety of roles with athletic events including the Holiday Basketball Tournament and DIII baseball regional, and is a 20-year veteran of high school basketball and volleyball officiating.

Bradley lives in Laurel, Delaware, with his wife Jennie, son Carter, and twins Lillie and Reid
