Talareah Campbell is entering her second year with the UMES Athletic Department, serving as an Academic Advisor and co-student services coordinator for student-athletes. As an Academic Advisor, she is responsible for assisting various student-athletes from different teams to maintain athletic eligibility and achieve optimal academic performance. In addition, her role as the co-student services coordinator requires her to enhance the student athletic experience at UMES.

She is no stranger to the athletic department; back in 2006 she was recruited to play for the Women's Basketball Team under Fred Batchelor. During her athletic collegiate career (2007-10), she was received numerous awards including: Most Improved Player of the Year (2008) and the Jostens's Sportsmanship Award (2010). Furthermore, Campbell served as the President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for two years (2009-2010).

Campbell hails from Gaithersburg, Maryland and the eldest of one sibling. She is happily married to Kevin Campbell, also an UMES alum and whom she loves very much. The couple have been married for four years and counting. Talareah's passion is to serve her alma mater to her fullest potential in whatever capacity needed. In her leisure time, she enjoys being around family, watching movies and playing board games. Campbell is a lifetime learner and believes that it's important to live out your passions so that you never have to work a day in your life.

After earning her bachelor's degree in Sociology (May 2010), she returned to UMES to obtain her master's degree in Counseling Education, hoping to pursue a career in Guidance Counseling.
