PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Seniors T’nia Falbo (Greenburg, Pa.) and Anggie Ramirez (Bogota, Colombia) have been named the Peninsula Regional Medical Center University of Maryland Eastern Shore Athletes of the Week for the week of April 22. This is the fifth time that Ramirez has collected the award this year, while Falbo brings it home for the first time.

Falbo and Ramirez led the Lady Hawks to their second ever xbowling Intercollegiate Team Championship (ITC) and fifth overall National Championship last week at Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln, Neb. The pair was both named to the All-Tournament team at the United State Bowling Congress (USBC) Intercollegiate Team Championships (ITC).

Falbo also claimed the prestigious Chris Stoehr Sportsmanship Award, which is designed to recognize the male or female collegiate bowler who best exemplifies true sporting behavior and the highest degree of character on and off the lanes. Falbo cemented the championship in the anchor spot after she bowled two strikes and an eight to give UMES the win.

Ramirez was very consistent the entire tournament for UMES. She finished nearly every frame during Baker Play and bowled in the fourth spot. The championship match was the final intercollegiate contest for the pair.
